Fellowship Compass is a faith-based community directory. We help people discover local churches, faith-based organizations, schools, and ministries. We do not endorse any specific denomination or theological position. This page explains how listings get into the directory, how they're verified, and how they're moderated.
Listings come from one of three sources:
Each listing carries one of four verification levels:
Authorized representatives of an organization may claim their listing through theclaim flow. Claims are reviewed by our team. Once approved, the claimant becomes the listing's primary administrator and can edit content, manage events, and invite collaborators. We may revoke a claim if we discover the claimant is not authorized to represent the organization.
Anyone — signed in or not — can report a listing using the "Report this listing" link on any listing detail page. Reports go to a moderation queue reviewed by our editorial team. Common report reasons include incorrect information, duplicates, organizations that have closed or moved, copyright concerns, and listings that don't fit the directory.
Editors may approve, edit, delist (soft-delete), or restore any listing. Every change is recorded in an internal audit log so we can review decisions and reverse mistakes. For copyright and DMCA-style takedown requests, see the DMCA & Takedown Policy.
We aim to correct verified errors within 14 days of receiving a credible report. If a listing has been delisted and you believe the action was in error, the listing's prior administrator may appeal by emailing the address below. We will review the audit log and respond within 14 days.
