DMCA & Takedown Policy | Fellowship Compass

Fellowship Compass respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content on the directory infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights — or if you are the subject of a listing and would like it removed or corrected — please follow the process below.

1. Quickest path: report the listing

For most issues, the fastest way to flag content is the "Report this listing" link on any listing detail page. Choose the appropriate reason (copyright, incorrect information, closed or moved, etc.) and include any details that will help our editors. Reports are reviewed within 14 days.

2. Formal copyright (DMCA) notice

To submit a formal DMCA takedown notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c), email the information below to legal@fellowshipcompass.org. Your notice must include:

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
The URL(s) of the listing(s) on Fellowship Compass containing the allegedly infringing material, including image URLs where applicable.
Your contact information: full name, mailing address, telephone, and email.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Incomplete notices may delay action. We reserve the right to refer abusive or fraudulent notices to law enforcement.

3. Counter-notice

If your content was removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notice including:

Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it appeared before removal.
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district in which you reside (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which Fellowship Compass may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the original notifier.

4. Right-of-publicity & "remove my listing" requests

If you are an authorized representative of an organization listed in the directory and would like the listing removed entirely, email editorial@fellowshipcompass.org from a verifiable address (e.g., the organization's official domain) with the listing URL and your role at the organization. We will respond within 14 days.

If the listing is for an organization that has permanently closed, please use the "Closed or moved" report reason on the listing detail page so we can archive it appropriately.

5. Repeat infringers

We will terminate the account access of users we determine, in our sole discretion, are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
